Movement Medicine: Celebrating Lammas

The whirling Wheel of the Year marks the turning of time and celebrates the cycles of life! 

Lammas/ Lughnasa lies equidistant between Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox. It is a time of gathering sustenance from the earth and appreciating the abundance of life and the ripening and harvesting of that which we have sewn. We also recognise the changing light as we begin to move from summer to autumn and acknowledge the times of uncertainty we are in. And so we dance deeply - embracing the warming rays of the sun and storing their power for the days to come. We embody our imagination and expand our consciousness – dancing a prayer for the love of life and dedicating our dance for all our relations - past, present and future.

ABOUT MOVEMENT MEDICINE

Movement Medicine is an immersive dance meditation, held with captivating music and clear guidance. In a polarised culture where so much of our wounding comes from disconnection, Movement Medicine offers the opportunity for reconnection. It connects us to our elemental nature, to our bodies, hearts and minds, to each other and to the sacredness of life. Our movement becomes the medicine that opens the door to insight, new possibilities and the transformative power of the dance. The freedom and creativity of the dance is a way into healing on a personal, relational and community level. 

ABOUT MIRA

Mira trained at The School of Movement Medicine and intuitively weaves from the rich tapestry of her experience as a dancer, therapist and artist. She creates a safe and sacred space for you to let go into the transformative power of the dance, deepening your connection to the creative life force within and around us. Her deep love of ritual is rooted in the way she facilitates her classes and she also offers regular Movement Medicine Ceremonies.

ACCESS:  We do our best to include everyone in our events, regardless of health circumstances.
