Celebrate the Winter Solstice in this online ceremonial dance space. As we honour the cycles and the seasons, we are reminded of our connection to the ever-changing flow of life… 

This is a time of contemplation in the darkness of winter as we come to the end of an unprecedented year on our beloved planet. Let’s drop into stillness and take a deep breath together; let’s feel the power of our beating hearts and dance deeply. Moving in recognition of where we are as individuals and as a culture - and coming into deepening connection to that which really matters. We dance to release and restore, to resource ourselves through our embodied imagination and expanded awareness. We welcome in the gradual return of the light and dance a prayer for the love of life, dedicating our dance for all our relations - past, present and future.

ABOUT MOVEMENT MEDICINE

Movement Medicine is an immersive dance meditation, held with captivating music and clear guidance. In a polarised culture where so much of our wounding comes from disconnection, Movement Medicine offers the opportunity for reconnection. It connects us to our elemental nature, to our bodies, hearts and minds, to each other and to the sacredness of life. Our movement becomes the medicine that opens the door to insight, new possibilities and the transformative power of the dance. The dance becomes an embodied prayer - for ourselves, each other and the interconnected community of life on earth.

Your Facilitator

Mira Khanya intuitively weaves from the rich tapestry of her experience as a Movement Medicine teacher, dancer, therapist and artist. She creates beautifully crafted and immersive dance meditations, held with captivating music and clear guidance. Mira invites us to experience the freedom of the dance - expanding our sense of who we are and opening to a wealth of inner resources. Her deep love of ritual is woven into her offerings.

ACCESS:  We do our best to include everyone in our events, regardless of health circumstances. If you have access requirements please email the event organiser directly to discuss. Many facilitators are able to offer reduced ticket prices for those truly unable to afford the ticket price.
