Psychedelics are rapidly becoming known as credible tools for the study of human consciousness, with recent findings demonstrating that they induce new patterns of connectivity within the brain. These patterns have been linked with new experiences, visions and feelings of enhanced meaning which, combined with research into the long-term changes in structure and function of the brain, hold exciting possibilities for the healing potential of these mysterious compounds.

We invited leading DMT researcher Christopher Timmermann to discuss the fascinating possibilities that psychedelics hold for transforming the human brain, our minds and how we relate to the external world.

The format of the event is a 45 min presentation, followed by a Q&A session.

The event will be recorded, and we will send the recording to everyone who purchased the ticket, within a week from the event.

Speaker

Christopher Timmermann

Christopher Timmermann PhD is based at the Centre for Psychedelic Research at Imperial College London, headed up by Dr. Robin Carhart-Harris. The research centre is at the forefront of developments with psychedelic drug treatment, and Chris himself was responsible for conducting the first neuroimaging research on the effects of DMT in the human brain and consciousness. Born in Chile, he studied Psychology in Santiago and joined ALIUS (a group focused on studying the diversity of consciousness), later becoming President of the Foundation for the Study of Human Consciousness. He obtained an MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Bologna in Italy before coming to the UK to embark on his studies with DMT.

Here's a sneaky peek from our upcoming documentary 'The Psychedelic Renaissance' with Chris!
