A day of conversation and cooking by the campfire, sitting with the trees, remembering who we are and moving more deeply into life.

Let me tell you a story...

At the edge of the suburbs, the neat houses stop abruptly and you have to search for a moment to find the gap in the hedge. On the other side is an overgrown path that leads you down to the railway track. The brambles thicken as you reach the edge of the woods. These woods are not large or grand, the traffic hums in the distance and the train rattles past through the hour. But they are enough. They are wild. You step in and something changes, you start to remember.

We will meet you there. David and Ryan and I. We don’t have an agenda, we’re offering an experience. David will walk you through these woods, sharing his knowledge of the trees, the deer, the fungus. Ryan will invite you into conversation of ancestral wisdom, earth connection and reimagined futures. I will help you bring this experience into your body and integrate it back into your daily life.

This is not a retreat, we’re not trying to escape. This is about moving more deeply into life. It’s an invitation to be in community and remember that we are the earth.

Join us for a day in the woods and learn how to bring that experience home with you.

Here's our plan...

I will meet you at the train station and walk with you through the residential streets and down through the fields to the woods. There will meet David and explore together, learning more about the species that live here and “bathing” in the sensory experience of the woods.

Slowly we will make our way to the campfire and have tea and cake with Ryan. Those who want to can help David prepare the bread and soup. This will lead into a full group circle conversation, each sharing what brings them here and what they hope to get out of it. Then Ryan will invite us into his experiences, telling stories and answering questions.

Together we will have a simple lunch of soup and bread, where the conversation can continue in smaller groups.

After lunch we'll have an hour of silence, either walking or sitting around the fire. At the end of the hour, Alisa offers a guided journey into our bodies and into trance. An opportunity for our subconscious minds to absorb the woods, the fire, each other, the conversations.

In your own time, you can make your way back to the train station, bringing the woods with you.

We are your hosts...

Alisa
I am a coach for the wild within you. My practice combines thought work, unshaming, somatic exploration and hypnosis. I have studied with Martha Beck, Simone Seol, David Bedrick and Melissa Tiers. I work with individual and groups from around the world and I love to coach in nature. I came to coaching off the back of 13 years as an entrepreneur in the climate tech space. As a Founder and CEO of a purpose-driven organisation, I felt like I knew exactly who I was. But the closer I came to "success" the more I began to question if the constant pursuit of growth was really the right path for me (or anyone of us). After a year or so of personal exploration, I began to work with those who are asking the same questions, who are ready to disentangle from societal expectations and challenge the status quo.

David

David is a teacher of bushcraft and wilderness living skills. He can be found baking bread and rustling up tasty meals over a campfire, whittling spoons, foraging for edibles, and walking in the woods. He has served with the Royal Engineers in Belize, spent time living with the Maasai in Kenya, motorcycled around Europe, and built and paddled his canoe along UK waterways. Escaping the corporate world was his best decision ever and David now loves teaching adults and children, sharing the skills they’ll need to enjoy living life outdoors. David provides fun, informative and educational courses that teach wilderness living skills, nature connection and woodland crafts, with activities to suit all abilities and needs.
