We need to learn how to regenerate trust because Humanity is at a crossroads.

Globalized capitalism is destroying the biosphere while political unrest and war continue to dominate the headlines.

Where might we turn for guidance in order to navigate these uncertain times?

Enter Tamera: a radical intentional community 40 years in the making, whose research may provide keys to humanity’s survival.

Tamera is located in Portugal, and is often known for its research on open relationships and polyamory. But that only touches the surface of what they are actually all about.

Tamera calls itself a ‘Healing Biotope’, and the Tamerians have a vision for this Healing Biotope to be one of thousands. They believe that the more ‘future islands’ we create - places where we research other ways of living - the higher the chances that some of these future islands impact the majority of all people in the world.

The Tamerians are studying the question ‘How do we live peacefully with each other and with the ’more than human' world?"

They recognized that most utopian communities fail due to the unresolved shadows around love, sex, money and power.  So they started radically transforming the old structures of relationships, patriarchy and domination. Tamera recognized the need to develop a holistic model that centered the regeneration of trust and the healing of love as the core goal. This film is an intimate exploration of their insights, and a love letter to igniting a revolution of the heart.

We want to gather with other community-interested people to watch a documentary created by 3 talented artists, Ian McKenzie, John Wolfstone, and Julia Maryanska, who have spent many years in Tamera to research and study with the community and have recently released an epic piece of art.

We- this is Bibi Gratzer, a Sex and Relationships Coach who has a huge passion for community building and systemic transformation, Chris Bullzini, a High-wire Walker who is a land-owner and shares Bibi's passion for community, spirituality and  nature, and Carly, who is also interested in systemic transformation and works as an Event Manager for the Psychedelics Society and the Mycelium Co-working and Events Space.

The documentary is specifically intended to be watched as a community so that we can integrate what we have learned after the movie.

How will the evening role?

  • We begin with an opening circle so everyone can share more about why they are here

  • We end with an intention / prayer ritual
