DAILY SCHEDULE
- The first day, after a check-in circle we are going to have a short intro into the background and philosophy of the tradition, a demo session carried out by Dan, some exercises to allow us to land into our bodies… and we will crack on with the oiling of the body.
During the first day we also learn the Here and Now breathing practice – you can read more about this below – that serves as a foundation for our Lomi Lomi journey… and potentially beyond.
- From the second day onwards we will work in pairs and learn how to massage various parts of the body – so you will either be giving or receiving Lomi Lomi throughout the whole day.
- On day four you will, together with Dan, carry out your first complete, basic Lomi Lomi session – we call this a “guided massage session”.
- On day five and six, gradually relying more and more on yourself, you will carry out – and receive of course… – another two complete Lomi Lomi sessions (each day giving and receiving one).
Because of the length of the complete sessions, the schedule of day 4/5/6 might slightly be different in view of how we get on (not the beginning or end of the day though).

As the multiple-handed sessions are at the core of what we offer to the world, during our courses we create time and space for our participants to optionally give and receive short 6-8 or 10-handed sessions – depending on the number of available people. We yet have to meet a person refusing to have such a session ;-)

A few words from Dan about the course:

"The less formal explanation of what happens during our time together is... that we slow the f*ck down. We really do.
This is one of those ‘walk the talk’ events where we really going to experience what we aim to experience.

I have been slowing down in how I do bodywork for about 10 years. And it still continues.

Apparently, if you move your hands, your whole body with a pace that is closer to tai chi or some chilled versions of contact dance - it changes your perception and your state of consciousness.
Pretty much similar to how we move in life: if you drive a car, you barely see any details from your environment... but if you slow down and walk or stop, you have a chance to see more.

It is that simple.

During our courses, I teach moves and techniques that I either learnt from my teachers or I discovered during my practice, but fundamentally my deepest wish is to share the view I see.

In a conversation after a session, someone semi-jokingly called me a "body-whisperer", yet funnily enough what becomes the source of joy in offering Lomi Lomi is listening.
Through my fingers, arms, my whole body... through my whole being.
And then the recipient's body becomes this amazing landscape, with layers and secrets and surprises and invitations.

So we slow down.
Our state of consciousness changes.
Our perception changes.

It is a fascinating journey and besides doing it, I guess there is just one more thing that makes my heart sing in the same way - to invite and assist other people in embarking on this journey.
I just love sharing the experience...

There are several expressions or qualities that resonate well with what is happening during the Lomi Lomi courses and retreats: embodying loving awareness, awakening through the body, getting out of the head and dropping more into the heart and gut, grounding in presence, sharpening the skill of focusing our attention... and consciously connecting to our breath."

I wholeheartedly recommend reading my book either before - or instead  - a course or even just the intro of it and experimenting with the embodiment practice that is part of my life for the past three years... and I wish the whole world knew about this innocent yet powerful "biohacking" trick to assist us to stay sane and present.

Lomi Lomi massage is a wonderful healing gift from the islands of Hawaii. Its tradition goes back to ancient times when there were as many different Lomi Lomi practices as there were families.

In our regular and multipe-handed Lomi Lomi sessions that were enlisted by Time Out as “one of the best massages in London”, we offer our fullest attention, healing touch and loving presence to the receiver throughout the whole process. We are guided by the body’s voice, and intuitively move in a flow of dance-like movements or stay still when needed.

In 2022 we won the South-East Prestige Award -Wellness Service Of The Year in Greater London and also were selected by the SME News as the Best Lomi Lomi Massage Practice in London.

Former service providers for Champneys and The Grove, we are currently available for home visits and at triyoga Camden.

Along our journey we had the honor of massaging people like enlightened master Mooji, integrative spiritual teachers like Jim Eaton or Sophie Nevill, Grammy Awarded Lady Rizo, Faithless co-founder, film director Jamie Catto, rock star and crowdfunding pioneer Amanda Palmer, world famous writer Neil Gaiman, musicians and artists like Susie Ro, Sam Garrett, Antarma, Roaman, Marv Radio, Hannagh Leigh, Benji Fox, Justin FreemanMuti Musafiri, tantra teachers like Jan Day, Dharma Raj or Lilly Kavida, wisdom keeper Samantha Moyo, revolutionary economist and author Noreena Hertz, scientist and speaker dr. Emily Grossman, pioneers of the psychedelic renaissance like dr. Rosalind Watts, Ronan Harrington or Carl Hayden Smith, and yoga teacher authorities like Kwali Kumara, Mollie Mendoza, Jeff Phenix or James French.

In the past we have held workshops and offered our services at various festivals, events, initiatives, including the World Yoga Festival, All About Love, Give!, The Russel Brand Community Event, the Mind-Body-Spirit Festival, Rumifest, Urubu Ecstatin Dance Festival, the United Nations International Day of Yoga, the Togetherness House and the Psychedelic Society.
