Hi there,

Someone recently asked me why it's so important to connect with the body after a psychedelic experience. The truth is that our bodies never lie. While the mind is incredible at adapting, protecting, and rationalising our lives through thoughts and beliefs, our body always remembers. Psychedelics can play a unique role in bringing the mind and body (and spirit) into communication but they can also be a disorienting shock. Bombarded with revelations and memories of our journeys to the outer realms of consciousness, we may struggle to come back to our earthly bodies and daily life.

Reconnecting with the body - through the breath, yoga, dance - are ways to anchor ourselves again in the present, process the insights we experienced, and help us release trauma trapped in the body that may have been discovered  during a trip. Often this feels very natural as psychedelics themselves help us better hear the needs of our body and encourage us to care of them - to drink water, to move and shake, and rest. In our latest blog post we explore how psychedelics are being used to revolutionise the treatment of chronic pain.

This week we're highlighting all our upcoming events that focus on the body, releasing its emotions and fostering its innate creativity…
