Long, long ago in places not so far away, humans lived a life steeped in ritual. Rituals to share celebration and sorrow, food, fire, birth and death. Their role was to keep us in connection with reality; the reality that humans are just one piece of this long web of life and that we have many forces to thank for it.

Though we have our routines today, many of us hardly think about the role of ritual. Our coffee reaches our lips in a moment unmarked. The transition from adolescence to adulthood is unconscious and fuzzy and passes slowly without fanfare.

At The Psychedelic Society, we believe ritual reconnection isn't ‘woo’ but one of the most pragmatic things we can do to bring meaning and perspective to our lives. Just a simple thank you before dinner to the plants and animals who made the meal possible can do wonders to remind us of our inherent connection to all things.

This week we are highlighting our upcoming events that allow you to practice and experience the power of ceremony and ritual.
