Ash Equinox, 12-16 October 2017, Devon
A co-created gathering inspired by Nowhere and the Borderland, following the Rewylding principles

Halfway between the Autumn Equinox Mabon and the Greater Sabbat of Samhain, 150 of us will gather to celebrate the gloaming of summer, bidding goodbye to the Sun God for this year.

We will celebrate and welcome our descent into winter and all the cycles and feelings that make us human. We will swim, sing, dance and be merry. We will eat together, live together, cry & laugh together, share our ideas and inspiration, as we connect with open-hearts. We will be silly, serious, kinky, political, boisterous, modest, peaceful; whatever we feel, as and when we see fit. We will care for each other as we create and curate this experience together.

Mabon marks the middle of harvest, it is a time of equal day and equal night, a time of celebration and balance, time to give thanks for what we have received, whilst planting seeds of change for transformation to come.

Samhain (Summer's End) pronounced sowen, is the witches' New Year's Eve, and is a time for personal reflection. It is the final harvest festival, inaugurating winter. It’s a night when fairies are supposedly afoot working mischief. It is also the Day of the Dead as it was for the Celts, Egyptians and Mayans, the night when we can remember our loved ones and honour our ancestors. Food and wine may be left out for wandering spirits and the Goddess Hecate who represents witchcraft, magic, the moon, crossroads, ghosts, and necromancy.
