Vocal Activation Workshop

Come along to a beautiful evening of singing, harmonising and connecting with the power of your voice. Our voices together will ignite our souls and strengthen the connection that already exists between us all. Whether you are an experienced singer or simply curious about getting to know your voice, this space will welcome you in all your essence. Come as you are, your voice is welcomed here.

We'll start the journey with vocal warm ups to release inner tension in all areas of your body; especially the throat chakra. This will take us onto the next stage of the journey which will be improv-singing. Allowing the free flow of our voices to interweave and blend into the harmonies that we will create together. Half-way through this workshop with our voices warmed up, we will start channeling and expressing whatever the voice wants to express, with specific prompts given by the facilitator. This can be from a scream, to a whisper, to a poem that flows through you. Any "noise" in the space is welcomed. We will activate our voices with the use of light language and shamanic singing to open the space for healing. We will close the session with a sharing circle where we will connect deeper into the power of our own expression.

About the facilitator:

Yhonet Garcia is a singer/song channeler, poet and creative coach. She has many years of experience facilitating creative workshops to enhance well-being and mental health. She's been on her own journey of healing her voice over the past seven years, so she has loads of tools to share so you can experience the therapeutic benefits of voice activation. She teaches counselling L3-L5 at City of Bristol College and considers herself as an embassador for creativity on Earth.
