Join our beautifully crafted, immersive dance space to celebrate Spring Equinox and the return of the light after the depth and darkness of the winter months.

As winter ends and spring begins - we invite the vibrancy, momentum and creative energy of the season to fuel our hopes and dreams. It is a time of renewal and rebirth. We plant the seeds of our intentions, gather resources, shed which we have outgrown and lift our prayers through the wisdom of the moving body. Dancing to discover new possibilities, we connect to the abundance and the blossoming of the natural world. We open ourselves to receive insight and inspiration and dance for healing on a personal, relational, community and spiritual level.

The Roundhouse near Hemel Hempstead is a beautiful sacred space - handmade and community made from straw bale and green oak. Its walls are rendered internally with clay and externally with lime render. The dance floor is a clay, sand and straw earthen floor, heated by water underfloor heating, powered by solar panels and air sourced heat pump. **Address provided in booking confirmation email. The Roundhouse is 5min drive from Hemel Hempstead train station.

Limited concessions available on request by email - mirakhanya@gmail.com.

If you consider yourself to be a high earner - paying a supporter fee/ making a donation really helps to subsidise further reduced places.

You will receive an IMPORTANT CONFIRMATION EMAIL upon booking with all the relevant information - please read!

Tickets are not refundable, but transferable to another person - please email details of name change and their email address to mirakhanya@gmail.com and organise finances between yourselves. You can always check on the Signal Roundhouse Info & Social group if anyone wants your ticket.

To give thanks, a percentage of the profit will become part of my fundraising for the Summer Long Dance 2023 where we support charitable projects around the globe.

“Yet another beautiful ceremony. Mira holds a fiercely loving space where you feel both held and supported but also encouraged to take responsibility for yourself. She somehow embodies a gentle yet firm hand at your back that empowers you to be courageous in the dance, to reflect on which areas of our lives we can bring attention and responsibility to, but also to include all parts of ourselves and each other in loving awareness and understanding. I danced deeply with my joy and with my grief and with an utter reverence for the magic of this gift of life and the privilege it is to be able to safely dance with other humans. These ceremonies are created with devotional love and care and you can really feel that. Thank you Mira and team.” - Rosanna

“I was feeling in a very isolated, resistant and self-doubting place before the ceremony. Mira's facilitation gave me space to grieve, laugh, dance and alchemise. I was put in touch with my joy, focus and inspiration. I left the ceremony feeling able to tend to my needs and so excited for my life, who I am becoming, what I am creating- a far cry from how alone I was feeling prior. The dance was true medicine! Mira is a powerful, tender and reverent force of nature. Her devotion to this work is felt deeply and she holds the space with such grace. I am so grateful for what the day has given me and already feel like significant seeds were planted for the journey ahead.” - Anonymous

“I can't really put into words how much I loved this. Mira and her team just weave magic, it's a collection of subtle things that just create this amazing heart opening, connecting, illuminating, fun, nourishing experience. I absolutely loved Tom's singing at the beginning and the end too!” - Matt

Mira Khanya has a deeply rooted and embodied understanding of the transformative and healing power of movement. Creativity and commitment to her own inner-work and wholeness have always been central in her life. From an early age she explored visual and performing arts which led her to a BA (Hons) Drama degree, focusing on Physical Theatre. She expanded her experience of embodied transformation through practices such as Meditation, Shamanic journeys, Yoga, 5Rhythms, Butoh, Embodied Listening and Contact Improvisation. Mira’s calling to support healthy self-expression inspired her to develop a unique creative approach to working with individuals on the autistic spectrum. Dance had her heart though, and movement is her medicine. An in-depth Apprenticeship, Professional Training and Continuous Professional Development advance training programme with Ya’Acov and Susannah Darling Khan - founders of the School of Movement Medicine - followed.

Movement Medicine integrates ancient wisdom and modern understanding of how change happens. It directs our awareness to our movement, thoughts and feelings - opening the way to deep internal reflection. Through the dance we are invited on a journey of personal empowerment, relationship with community and connection with the creative life force within and around us.

Today the rich tapestry of Mira’s experience as a dancer, therapist and artist is woven into her work. She offers beautifully crafted immersive and transformative dance meditations - activating the embodied imagination through a weaving of words, tribal rhythms, ethno-electronica, medicine songs and sacred sounds.

We look forward to celebrating the Spring Equinox with you!
