12/02 Pixi Pete & Ella Aranyani

EDB combines the worlds of Ecstatic Dance, diverse dance music and sound system culture with prayer, mindfulness and ritual.

Using the practice of Ecstatic Dance we create a held space for you to express, expand and experience rejuvenation through movement, dance and sound.

The experience is a modern day ritual where the communion of people, movement and sound serve as mediums for transformation, liberation and soul invigorating celebration.

Our community gatherings are sober and suitable for all ages, abilities and people.

Come as you are. Dance as you please. Be your uniqueness.

Pixi Pete | DJ & Ceremony Leader

Peter Michel, aka Pixi Pete, is a DJ, facilitator and musician with over a decade of embodiment practice, self development work and musical performance.

Peter weaves a combination of shamanic practices and embodiment work into his facilitation, to create a very welcoming and inclusive dance space. As well as DJing and facilitating Ecstatic Dance, Peter incorporates his skills as a drummer to add live percussion to his sets using rhythms from a range of instruments.

As for his music style, Peter is well know for having his finger on the pulse for new and up and coming music, seamlessly blending a range of fresh and well known dance tracks, finding remixes and reworks that will pleasantly surprise you. Expect soul lifting melodies and deep tribal beats mixed in with some bass and a splash of nostalgia.

Peter plays for festivals and events nationally and internationally. He's a resident DJ for Ecstatic Dance UK, Ecstatic Dance Bristol, Mind Body Spirit Festival and Dance Medicine Glastonbury.

Ella Aranyani | Sound Journey

Ella Aranyani is a passionate singer, songwriter and musician. She creates Sound Journeys using her ethereal voice as her most powerful instrument for healing and activation within herself and others as she sings, tones, and channels. She creates a meditative yet igniting atmosphere. Her intention is to bring others into peace and presence; to their essence and heart, remembering their innate power.
