Monthly PsySocial
Theme: Psychedelics and addiction
The theme of this month's PsySocial is 'Psychedelics & Addiction', and we have up-and-coming star of psychedelic clinical research, Rayyan Zafar, with us to share his wisdom. Rayyan joins us to speak about some of his own research at Imperial College London into psychedelics for helping to treat addiction. He will shed light on how psychedelics work on the brain and why the evidence is pointing towards them being valuable tools for the future of mental healthcare.
We will be meeting at Love Shack, a vegan restaurant and cocktail bar spread over three beautiful exposed brick arches in the heart of Hackney, East London. They have a brand new menu (January 2023) that offers a variety of delicious food and yummy drinks (including mushroom cacao!) available to purchase throughout the evening.
If you would like to enjoy some of Love Shack's incredible food, please order and eat before or after we kick off at 20:00. You will have time after the event to socialise freely and continue conversations with the people you've met during the evening.
Schedule
19:00: Arrive, socialise & order food
20:00: Talk with Q&A
