A warm invitation to join us as we gather and connect to the powerful vessel of our beating hearts and the transformative power of the dance.

We will begin our journey with the the heart-opening medicine of ceremonial cacao - sourced from the ancient cacao gardens in Peru. Setting our intentions, we enter an immersive and guided dance journey and creatively weave with the different weathers of the heart - shedding that which we have outgrown.

As we move, we expand into our embodied imagination and listen to the wisdom within. Bringing awareness to our thoughts and feelings, we begin to reawaken the heart and discover more freedom. Freedom to choose how we perceive life and in which direction we point the inner compass of our hearts. As we journey, we gather resources and deepen the sense of living a life of love rooted in action - a future of more joy, connection and balance. Planting the seeds of compassion - we come together to send a blessing of love - for all our relations.

“All doubt, despair and fear become insignificant once the intention of life becomes Love” - Rumi

PARTICIPANTS SHARE ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCE

“Yet another beautiful ceremony. Mira holds a fiercely loving space where you feel both held and supported but also encouraged to take responsibility for yourself. She somehow embodies a gentle yet firm hand at your back that empowers you to be courageous in the dance, to reflect on which areas of our lives we can bring attention and responsibility to, but also to include all parts of ourselves and each other in loving awareness and understanding. I danced deeply with my joy and with my grief and with an utter reverence for the magic of this gift of life and the privilege it is to be able to safely dance with other humans. These ceremonies are created with devotional love and care and you can really feel that. Thank you Mira and team.” - Rosanna

“I was feeling in a very isolated, resistant and self-doubting place before the ceremony. Mira's facilitation gave me space to grieve, laugh, dance and alchemise. I was put in touch with my joy, focus and inspiration. I left the ceremony feeling able to tend to my needs and so excited for my life, who I am becoming, what I am creating- a far cry from how alone I was feeling prior. The dance was true medicine! Mira is a powerful, tender and reverent force of nature. Her devotion to this work is felt deeply and she holds the space with such grace. I am so grateful for what the day has given me and already feel like significant seeds were planted for the journey ahead.” - Anonymous

YOUR FACILITATOR // MOVEMENT MEDICINE

Mira Khanya has a deeply rooted and embodied understanding of the transformative and healing power of movement. Creativity and commitment to her own inner-work and wholeness have always been central in her life. From an early age she explored visual and performing arts which led her to a BA (Hons) Drama degree, focusing on Physical Theatre. She expanded her experience of embodied transformation through practices such as Meditation, Shamanic journeys, Yoga, 5Rhythms, Butoh, Embodied Listening and Contact Improvisation. Mira’s calling to support healthy self-expression inspired her to develop a unique creative approach to working with individuals on the autistic spectrum. Dance had her heart though, and movement is her medicine. An in-depth Apprenticeship, Professional Training and Continuous Professional Development advance training programme with Ya’Acov and Susannah Darling Khan - founders of the School of Movement Medicine - followed.

Movement Medicine integrates ancient wisdom and modern understanding of how change happens. It directs our awareness to our movement, thoughts and feelings - opening the way to deep internal reflection. Through the dance we are invited on a journey of personal empowerment, relationship with community and connection with the creative life force within and around us.

Today the rich tapestry of Mira’s experience as a dancer, therapist and artist is woven into her work. She offers beautifully crafted immersive and transformative dance meditations - activating the embodied imagination through a weaving of words, tribal rhythms, ethno-electronica, medicine songs and sacred sounds.
