Come and take a walk on the wild side!

Explore the diverse and plentiful plants, herbs and trees of the Lea Valley Regional Park that can fill your belly and support your health and wellbeing.

Amongst them we will meet:

🌱  Comfrey also known as knitbone, a wonderful bruise ointment and connective tissue restorative. Any aches and pains will be relieved to meet this plant.

🌼  The common Daisy, weed in the grass. This little flower has respiratory and immune system healing held within its tiny petals.

🌱  Stinging nettles packed with minerals and blood boosting iron.

🌼  Lime blossoms that can relax our hearts and help us take life that little bit more chilled!

🌱  Plus a multitude of others just waiting to be introduced to you…

Learn how to create your own natural first aid kit, home remedies and tinctures on this morning walk through the blooming spring flowers of the Lee Valley.

YOUR FACILITATOR

Kaz Goodweather

Kaz Goodweather is one of the Seed SistAs. A clinical herbalist of over 20 years with a love and interest in the so-called witching herbs of old, her second book (co-authored with Fiona Heckels t'other Seed Sista)  Their first publication The Sensory Herbal Handbook, is a journey through the year, exploring herbs for each season. Kaz is passionately potty about plants and a total Herbal Drama Queen, riding the wave of chaos that has become ever more prevalent in our society, embracing change and the feral wildness of womanhood. She can be found with her fingers in the soil in the garden or by the hedgerow singing to the trees.

Kaz will be sharing insights about herbs that grow locally, the intelligence of nature and her own personal journey and just how integral the magic of herbalism and witchcraft is to good health. There will be herbal tasters to experience which will unearth how our senses can lead to a deep understanding of the communications between us humans and our plant ancestors.
