'What We’ve Learned in 7 years of Running Psychedelic Retreats'
A free webinar with Alalaho founders Stefana Bosse and Jennifer Tessler

In this webinar, Stefana Bosse and Jennifer Tessler, co-founders of Alalaho, which runs psilocybin-assisted retreats in the Netherlands, will share the spectrum of insights they have gained into what it means to hold psychedelic retreats. They will cover:

  • What makes a brilliant facilitator and a brilliant team
  • Crafting the preparation process for optimal set and setting
  • Different approaches to holding psychedelic space - pros and cons of the clinical vs shamanic
  • Navigating the rollercoaster of the psychedelic ceremony, and the wide range of possible occurrences
  • Choosing music (and silence) during ceremony
  • Holding a group field and harnessing the potency of group dynamics to contribute to the healing process
  • The multifaceted nature of integration
  • The importance of a solid reflection, inquiry and learning process after each retreat

Join us on Wednesday 23 November at 7pm to find out more!

Jennifer and Stefana are the founders of Alalaho and were previously co-directors of the Psychedelic Society’s Experience Retreats programme.

“Deeply moving, emotionally beautiful and highly connected on many levels. Words feel very limited for describing parts of this experience, but what is easy to describe is the immense value of the care and support provided by all the Alalaho team. As a first psychedelic experience, I cannot imagine a better way of making this journey. The preparation both before and during the retreat, combined with the emphasis on integration afterwards, is hugely important not just for a participant's well-being, but also to gain the most from such a personal journey. And as for the music....utterly wonderful!”

FACILITATORS

Stefana Bosse

Stefana has worked with psychedelics for more than a decade, co-founding and directing the Psychedelic Society's pioneering Experience Retreats programme in 2016, the first European psilocybin-retreat programme of its kind, which eventually led her to founding Alalaho. She has trained in various psychotherapeutic modalities with The School for Essential Counselling, participated in the MDMA-Assisted Therapy Training with the Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies – MAPS (US), explored sensuality and sexuality work with different tantra and embodiment teachers, studied in shamanic lineages of the Americas, predominantly in the Lakota and Shipibo tradition, and participated in a modern Mystery School training in New Zealand. However, her most important initiation and education came from the illness and death of her mother. She is also continuously learning through nature, dancing, singing, martial arts, her friends and family, and ultimately through love itself. It is her greatest passion and honour to support others on the multifaceted journey of what it means to be a human being and contribute to the creation of a culture where we ignite our love of the truth, open up to our inherent wisdom, become empowered to take responsibility for our lives, and feel free to express our unique gifts.

Jennifer Tessler

Jennifer began her in-depth inquiry into the nature of reality and the inner workings of the mind (heart) after a life-changing backpacking journey to Asia in her late teens where she discovered both Tibetan Buddhism and the sacred use of psychedelic medicines. Over the last 13 years, she has spent over 800 days in meditation retreat under the close guidance and tutelage of her Tibetan Buddhist teacher. She also holds a degree in Social Anthropology from Sussex University, and has trained as an integrative transpersonal psychotherapist at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education, London. In 2018, she began facilitating psilocybin-assisted retreats and co-directing the Psychedelic Society's Experience Retreats programme, eventually leading to the founding of Alalaho. For her, this precious work is all about supporting the unfolding of the infinite vitality, wisdom and potential that lies at the core of our being… just like the blossoming of a lotus.
