We invite you to a guided journey, diving deeply into Nature and Self.

We invite you to the ancient practice of time spent alone on the land.

We welcome you to your own deep knowing and belonging.

We invite you back and beyond to what it means to be a true human being.

Q & A SESSION: Thursday 29th September 7pm on Zoom

email wildmindscollective@gmail.com for Zoom link.

 🍃

For centuries, across many different cultures and regions worldwide, humans have spent time alone in nature. This ancient practice reconnects us deeply to Self and to the living world around. Sometimes also experienced as a rite of passage or Vision Quest, spending time alone in nature connects us deeply to knowledge beyond our own. For whatever intention may want to be lived, this practice holds many gifts for humanity and nature alike. These gifts are more valuable and more needed than ever in our fast changing times.

The healing properties of nature have been much documented. When we give our focused attention to this relationship, we nourish far beyond our physical bodies - we enrich our minds, our psyches, our souls, and we equip ourselves with the capacity to move through life with clarity and grace. To dwell on the land alone in reverence is a beautiful remembering of our profound humanness.

We believe in the power of our relationship to land, to the elements, and to place, a relationship which has become ever more vital in our rapidly evolving and shifting world, and will be increasingly so for the times that are yet to come.

  • What can this relationship to place reveal to us? What does the land and living world around us have to communicate to us that has laid dormant in our psyches?
  • What does the living world that we inhabit have to tell us about what it means to be alive, what it means to be human?
  • Which layers of our beings want to be shed? Which new ways want to emerge in our lives?

Join us in uncovering the medicine and the ancient stories of belonging that nature can bring you!

The Deep Dive programme

We will guide you through a 4 week online process, where we prepare and accompany you in a threshold ritual, which you will hold in your own surroundings in a place of your own choosing. During your journey, the mirror of nature and the heart of the community will guide you. We will support you in connecting more deeply to the natural world around you. You will be joined by a small community to enhance your learnings, and be supported by three experienced guides who assist you along the way.

 The 4 week process entails:

  • 5 online community calls on Zoom (sharing circles, meditations, rituals, embodiment practices, input on Deep Ecology, Ecopsychology, the tradition of Rites of Passages and deep engagement with the Four Shields Model of Human Nature)
  • 4 self organised meetings with your personal buddy to support each other throughout the process
  • A range of nature connection and Deep Ecology practices for you to do at home
  • Access to an online community platform with shared resources and practices
  • An optional Signal group with all participants and facilitators to stay connected and support each other throughout the process
  • Preparation of and guidance towards your one day Earth Solo Experience in a living place close to your home
  • Optional one-to-one support sessions with a trained guide

Flow of the Earth Solo Experience:

We aim to create a community that will enter this process together, and be supported throughout the journey. Attendance for all of the following elements is required:

Wednesday 26th October, 7pm - 9.30pm CET:

~First Community Circle~

Introduction to guides, to participants, delving deeper into some of the supporting material and topics such as Deep and Spiritual Ecology and their modern applications. Take home practices for nature connection to be practised throughout the following week.

Wednesday 2nd of November 7pm - 9.30pm CET
~Second Community Circle~

We will introduce you to the importance of Rites of Passage in our modern times, the concept of the Vision Quest and playfully explore the model of the Four Directions of Human Nature.

Friday 11th of November , 7-9.30pm CET
~Third Community Circle~

We will deepen our container, each share our personal intentions with the group, refine these intentions together, and prepare to step over the threshold for our Solo experience which will take place over the following days.

Saturday  12th to Sunday 13th of November
~Earth Solo experience~

Over the course of this weekend, in a place of your own choosing, you will enter into your Earth Solo to spend one day (or more) alone on the land. This is both a self and co-held experience, which constitutes the core element of the process.

Sunday 13th of November, 6.30 - 9.30pm CET

~Welcome back Ritual~

This call will welcome you back from your Earth Solo to the community. Story Council; we will share the stories of our experiences, and explore reflections and insights together. You will be guided on how to integrate your experience over the days that follow.

 Wednesday 16th of November 7pm - 9.30 pm CET

~Integration and Visioning~

Community Check-in, sharing on integration of our experience and process, visioning  for future movement, using the Four Shields Model to support us going forward.

You will be buddied up with another participant and we invite you to meet up to 4x in between the community calls to support each other throughout the journey.

Upon registration, you will receive a Welcome Pack with introductory reading material to the learnings and practices, as well as a guided meditation and the invitation to begin cultivating your intention for your journey.

FAQs

Q. Do I need to attend all the calls?
A. Since this is an intentionally designed process, we ask you to ensure in advance that you are available to attend all 5 calls. If it happens that you miss a call due to unforeseen circumstances, we will do our best to help you integrate this.

Q. How do I spend my solo time on the land?
A. Your solo time is a special time set aside for a specific purpose. It can be spent in stillness or in movement, but we offer the following general guidelines below. Please note we will prepare you fully for your solo time during the four week process.
Since we will be in the winter season, we recommend you dress warmly, take tea and perhaps some blankets. We invite you to spend an extended period of time outside, ideally from sunrise to sunset. You can look for a sitting spot that calls you to spend most of your day in, or decide to go on a Medicine Walk and stay in movement. The main practice during that time is to be fully present with the living world and be in communication with yourself and the land. You can of course also decide to spend the night outside if you are in a more moderate climate zone and/ or have really solid winter camping gear. You could also decide on more solo time over the course of the 48 hour period.
In any case, we ask you to respect your own boundaries, so you can feel safe during the journey as we will be guiding you from afar.

Q. How do I choose where to go?
A. There might be a certain area, a landscape or a place you want to deepen your relationship with. Maybe there is a place you have never visited but have always wanted to get to know. Depending on where you live, it could be a place that is quite remote and wild or a place that is easier to reach from your home and a little closer to civilisation. Of course a secluded place with less distraction from frequent human visitors will support you in being fully present with yourself and the more than human world around you.

Q. Do I need to be spending my time fully in Solo over the weekend, or can I meet up with some friends and go for a walk together?

A. We invite you to stay as much Solo as possible, during your dedicated ceremonial time. This doesn’t need to be the whole weekend, but could be so. This will be for you to decide on and feel into. Be aware that each person that you bring on your Solo, will be part of your ceremony, and therefore will also influence your experience. If you do bring a person on your Solo, then be sure to inform us and make clear rules so you are not speaking to each other the whole time. If being Solo is an edge for you, we would be happy to support you more on this throughout the process.

Q. I’m going through a challenging time right now, and I wonder if this Solo could be good for me

A. Spending time alone on the land can be challenging as well as nourishing and healing. The fact that there will not be many distractions means that whatever is moving in you will express itself. Here is where the importance of going out with a clear intention or question comes in. It will help you to not let yourself be pulled into a spiral of despair. If you are doubting whether you can deal with the challenges you are currently facing on your own, please do get in touch with us and we are happy to support you with taking a decision.
