You have been invited to this gathering because you have been involved with EDB in one way or another &/or you have shown interest in being part of the new organisation, Ace Collectiv.

This is unlike anything that we’ve ever done before.

It would be an absolute honour to share this experience with you.

Let’s co-create the future we’ve all been visioning & dreaming of.

EDB & ACE COLLECTIV

We’re starting a new organisation called Ace Collectiv. It will be everything that EDB was & more. EDB will continue & will purely focus on Ecstatic Dance. Ace will be a co-op, collective & DAO with a membership scheme. It will produce events, festivals, ceremonies, workshops, lectures, trainings & more. INTENTION

At this gathering we will:

- co-create an epic gathering & party together

- be ourselves, create magic & have fun

- honour & dance with the mystery of life: within & without

COMPOST - honour & let go of anything which is no longer serving us individually, collectively & the EDB organisation

HARVEST - acknowledge & celebrate the evolutions of 2021 & the last 3 years of EDB

SEED - vision, set intentions & plant seeds for our individual & collective future; & the future of EDB & Ace Collectiv

PART 1: GATHERING | FRI 25 - MON 28 FEB

This event was initially going to be the first ever EDB crew party taking place on EDB’s 3rd birthday. However, with divine alignment, it has grown & evolved into something much more epic.

This gathering will act as a threshold between the last 3 years of EDB into the beginning of a new chapter. The beginning of Ace Collectiv.

If attending PART 1, we ask that you attend for the whole thing so we can start, journey & finish together. Schedule & timings below. If this is not possible for any reason then please let us know.

WHAT IS IT?

Our first co-created gathering with…

- dance, ceremony, workshops, music jams, sharing circles, open mic, cabaret, trips to the sea & whatever else we’re up for

- all activities are proposed by participants

- Opening & Closing Ceremony

- lush sound system

- shared meals at breakfast, lunch & supper

- daily kitchen rotas where everyone is requested to sign up for cooking & washing up shifts

HOW DOES THIS CO-CREATED GATHERING WORK?

- all participants buy a ticket which cover the costs of the gathering (venue hire, all food, sound system & sauna, etc)

- everyone pays for their own accommodation

- all participants are welcome to propose an activity, workshop, jam session, DJ set, etc

- all of the finances are 100% transparent & can be seen on the gathering page

- you’re invited to bring decor, altar items & anything you feel which can add to this gathering

HOW WILL IT BE ORGANISED?

The whole event will be organised through via the ‘Gatherings’ portal on Dandelion.

Once you’ve purchased your ticket, you can enter the Ace Gathering portal where you can find:
Timetables’ tab:

DJs & Live Sets’ - one DJ set / Live Set per person / group

‘Main Timetable’ - click a timetable to propose a workshop or other activities

Kitchen’ - for cooking & washing up shifts (pick at least one of each)

A group of us will stay at the farm after the gathering to experience a taste of living as a community. It’ll be our responsibility as a team to do a thorough clean of the venue before the final Check Out on Friday.

The invitation is to be part of the community by joining daily group check-ins, cooking, cleaning, tidying up, etc.

You’re welcome to enjoy solo time & meet your own needs when needed. There’ll be activities such as: check-ins, walks in nature, visits to the coast, shared meals, dance, discussions, debrief, etc.

There is WiFi & a work space for those who need to work.

North End Farm is a beautiful old farm set in the idyllic rolling hills of South Dorset & located 5min drive from the sea. It has lush high grade accommodation, spaces for live-in vehicles & several spaces for dance, workshops & other activities.

Please lift share where possible. Please offer / request lift shares via the Signal group (link can be found on gathering page once you've bought your ticket).

FOOD

There'll be:

  • 3 x Breakfasts (Saturday, Sunday & Monday)
  • 2 x Lunches (Saturday & Sunday)
  • 3 x Dinners (Friday, Saturday & Sunday)

All meals will be wholesome, hearty, Vegan & Gluten Free (GF).

We'll have a limited amount of GF cereal & GF crackers, etc.

We'll have all the basic ingredients & food covered like fruit, plant-based mylk, bread, rice cakes, olive oil, lemons, etc

Please bring any extra food & treats you need to suit you dietary requirements & to keep yourself sustained & nourished.

i.e. things like:

  • meat, fish, dairy, cheese, eggs, etc
  • any extra GF options you need for your meals
  • snacks, treats, chocolates, etc
  • extra ingredients for spicing up your meals or for making your special drinks, etc (cacao, sauces, dressing, chutneys, etc)


WHAT TO BRING

bring anything you feel you need to be comfortable & to fully immerse yourself in this party-gathering-ceremony celebration

  • your favourite attire for ceremony, celebration & dinner parties
  • any items you would like to use for ceremony
  • an item for the community altar (1 item each)
  • any instruments & percussion (drums, shakers, guitars, etc)
  • DJ equipment (if you have it)
  • attire for outdoor nature adventures & seaside trip
  • extra bedding, blankets, comfy stuff, etc (if you need it)
  • & anything else you need

& bring the usual…

  • dress in layers & according to the weather
  • something to lie on for sound baths (blanket, yoga mat, sheepskin, etc)
  • your own water bottle & drinking water
  • your own cup / mug to use for drinks
  • pen & notebook 
  • your courageous heart & presence

Your ticket will cover costs such as venue hire & all of your food.

DAMAGE DEPOSIT

Each participant has to pay a share of the venue damage deposit (£30 each). After the event, if the venue deducts anything from the total deposit this deduction will be split equally amongst all of the participants.

REFUNDS

We can offer a refund (minus a £21 admin fee) up to a week before the event starts (until Fri 18 Feb). This gives us time to sell your ticket & accommodation to someone else.

We are unable to offer refunds a week before the event starts (after Fri 19 Feb). However you can sell your ticket & accommodation onto someone else.
