“It was something different and I really felt safe to express myself.” - Lydia

Rewilding our Bodies

This is a practical journey to discover your ‘bodymind’. When the body and the mind work together we can move in the world from a more whole and integrated place, using both logic and feeling to guide our decisions.

‘Rewilding Our Bodies’ invites you to share a conversation with your body through verbal, non verbal, somatic and physical embodiment practices to explore your connection and disconnection with your body and nature.

The ticket price includes a 1hr 45 minute workshop, tea, healthy snacks and a chance to hang out & socialise after practice.

Body - Orientated techniques we will draw inspiration from are:

  • Authentic Movement.
  • Contact Improvisation & Clowning
  • Somatic Meditation: Focusing & Orientation Practice
  • Free Play
  • Yoga & Qigong.
  • Your own inspiration and intuition.

“Packed with really insightful practical techniques to begin to reconnect with your body and fall in love with yourself again…Highly recommended, loads of fun with some seriously hard-hitting benefits. Go in with an open mind and an open heart and you’ll get a lot from this course.” - Dan

You will leave feeling relaxed, connected & grounded. You will revisit a visceral reconnection with the needs of your body, a brand new capacity to innately listen and kindly love the self.

WORKSHOP FORMAT

I am greatly inspired by cyclical living, and have designed this journey to follow the cycle of the seasons, so that we may explore the different energies and opportunities that each one brings.

Spring: Sensing

Opening our embodied sanctuary by turning on our senses; noticing the subtle details and unique textures that each one brings.

Keywords: Discovery, subtlety, fertility, rebuilding, playfulness, creating space.

Summer: Wild Play

Leaping into liminal space and tasting what it means to embody your creativity!

Keywords: Wild Play, expansiveness, unblocking, clowning, transformation, release, taking space, empowerment.

Autumn: Rewilding

Embodying the change you want to become.

Keywords:  Ritual, co-creation, staccato, meditation, reflection, harvesting.

Winter: Rest

Dreaming and deeply listening to what our bodies truly need from moment to moment.

Keywords: Self love, softness, deep listening, stillness, somatics, lyrical, retreat.

The workshop does not impose any particular method or teaching but allows you to discover, investigate & nourish your own embodiment practice that suits you rather than a codified set of skills.

REWILDING

This workshop is a practical  process focused approach to embodied rewilding rather than theory based.

Many of us in the western world prize the mind over the body. This practical embodied approach is to give space for other parts of ourselves to speak, to create unity and to actively practice whole body listening.  There will be chance to share your experience verbally with the group if you feel moved to do so.

The term Rewilding is often used in the field of nature conservation that refers to the practice of allowing land to return to its natural state in order to restore and rebalance.

Rewilding in human terms is a reminder to return to our natural state, prioritising the needs and real - life resources we’ve evolved to rely on over the past 250,000 years.
