A Dreaming Circle is a ceremony where the veil that hangs between this world and the Otherworld can be lifted, and we can move into a space together where those worlds merge.

Our stories become malleable. The lives of those who came before us and ours become viscerally entwined and we are able to move into a new way of being - clearer and lighter.

The ceremony begins with calling the directions to us. The powers of the East, the South, the West, the North, the Below, the Above and the Centre. This puts us at the centre of life, even for the moments we will journey together - creating a safe place for healing and surrender.

You will then be led into a trance with the Drum. Cultures around the world for millennia have journeyed their way to the Otherworlds riding the monotonous gallop of an animal skin drum. You are free to dance, to move or to rest - the way you travel is up to you.

Once we have lifted the veil, Eddy will sing parts of the ancient Saxon pagan rune poem, accompanied by the 6 stringed Saxon lyre. This is to court the spirits that are with us, to sing them their honouring and offerings, in hope that they bless us with whatever we may need.

Various other instruments from the ancient past of Europe will be played, including the Norse Tagelharpa and the Bukkehorn.

You will be called back when the time is right, with an opportunity to share your experience.

SPEAKER: Eddy Elsey

Eddy Elsey was born in London and grew up suffering from acute and debilitating anxiety. When traditional psychotherapy didn’t work – he, like many others, began to look for a different route to healing, which led to various spiritual practices.

After a rigorous multi-year initiation into shamanic techniques with a teacher from this land, Eddy created Street Spirituality with the aim of removing the taboo from authentic shamanic practice. There is no reason why this form of ancient healing cannot help everyone, no matter their background, in their journey back to themselves – back to their heart.

As well as a 1-2-1 healing practice, Eddy runs events and workshops at the leading studios in London and has since been featured in GQ, Men’s Health, The Metro and The Telegraph for this work, as well as becoming the resident Shamanic Practitioner at The Mandrake Hotel in London.
