Winter Solstice Retreat

The medicine of the winter solstice offers us a time to go within, to live through the darkest day and to celebrate the return of the light. 

Experience heart centred community this winter solstice weekend, as we dive deep on our healing journeys to live the transition between darkness and light, both within us and collectively. Drawing on ancient lineages and modern day practices, we will guide you through a metamorphosis from separation into union and connection with soul, body, land and creation. 

If you’re ready for it, return home melted open to the medicine of your own heart and a knowing of the deeper truth residing in your bones.

Connecting to the land of the South West and its mythical Celtic lineage, we will weave Celtic rituals and practices for deepening in connection with land and spirit to harness the energy of the Solstice. 

Based on the Trans Himalayan teachings on archetypes, we work with both dark (bodily, earthly) and light (divine, conscious) aspects of ourselves while acknowledging and integrating the shadows of both of these polarities within ourselves. 

Channelling the teachings of Ancient Chinese Medicine and Qi Gong, we will connect to the Element of water and the season of winter, associated with our deepest wisdom and the emotion of Fear. Doing so, we will explore practices to nourish wisdom and create a balanced attitude towards fear. 

Be guided through inner blocks and resistance to explore fearless intimacy with ourselves and each other, accessing a depth of connection we seek in our lives. Learn how to take this intimacy into your home-environment - which could become a truly life changing Christmas experience.

Day 1 (Friday): Grounding and connecting 

• Arriving from 6pm at the retreat-center
• Opening circle 
• Opening Ritual: Co-creating the altar of ‘wholeness’ 
• Dinner
• Sauna with salt-scrub & Stargazing 
• Deep connection games (authentic relating work) for community building  

Day 2 (Saturday): Reclaiming the darkness 

• Morning QiGong to balance fear and work with the element of water (which is the element of the winter season) 
• Embodiment practices into the “Dark Feminine Archetype” - a deep dive into ‘the art of feeling”
• The shadow: Be held by community in your hidden and suppressed parts: Moving through separation and fear into connection, trust for self and tribe and embody wholeness 
• Embodiment practices into the ‘Dark Masculine Archetype” - a reclamation of power & presence
• Winter Solstice Ritual 
• Transmission Night (if time allows) 

Day 3 (Sunday) 

• Cacao Ceremony  
• Guided Contact Dance to practice the art of surrender   
• Embodiment practices into the “Light Feminine Archetype” - a deep dive into unconditional love 
• Embodiment practices into the “Light Masculine Archetype” - a deep dive into consciousness and purpose  
• Igniting your essence through ‘the hall of mirrors’ 
• Closing circle to finish at 5pm

Your Facilitators: 

Laura Reeves 

Laura Reeves is creative director and founder of Infinite Experience, creating experiences designed to ignite oneness and release illusions of separation. She has designed and held workshops and interactive performances on physical release and heart connection all over the world and is excited to be back in London sharing the release space, a physical medicine for the body and soul.

Training: 

Masters in Acting from East 15 (Alexandra technique; somatic practice & training; Meisner technique; physical theatre; body connection work; Clown studies; Bouffon), EFT/TFT certified practitioner, QiGong teacher training - 1 year - with Mimi Kuo Deemer, Reclaiming your six body wisdom areas course with Suzanne Scurlock, 8 years working with shamanic diets and practice, The Wisdom of Trauma with Gabor Mate, BA (hons) Philosophy and Theology - consciousness studies/metaphysics - University of Nottingham and Melbourne 

Bibi Gratzer 

Bibi Gratzer’s essence lies in bringing divinity into the experience of the body. For her, divinity is a direct experience of the interconnectedness of all life. She is a Relationship and Sex Coach, working with couples and individuals. 

She has a passion for the healing of the war between masculine and feminine, as well as regenerative culture building, and the ocean. 

Her ancestral lineage is Austrian, which sent her on a quest for belonging from an early age. After an initial escape into the underwater world, her distorted codependent relationships made evident that her purpose was in spiritual education. She went on to study human psychology and spirituality, until she found a path in a ‘lived spirituality through the body and sexuality’. 

She is currently teaching a course on ‘Boundaries Alchemy’. 

Trainings:  

She is a trained Priestess, working with Temple Arts and the Sacred Union of Masculine and Feminine. 

She is also trained in Systemic Constellations, Authentic Relating and Circling, Personal and Collective Grief Transformation, and archetypal shadow work. She has an MSc in Ecology.

She is a facilitator on the Authentic Revolution Platform and a collaborative project manager for the CSC – the Center for Systemic Constellations, in London.
