One way or another, our lives have been a little smaller over this past year.

Perhaps you were furloughed, or working from home, and found that you had much more time for yourself. You may have established routines and patterns – both practical and mental – that feel safe and stable. That may well be disrupted in the coming months, as lockdown eases and the wider world opens up again. Being with larger groups of people, travelling further afield, seeing friends and family after a long time, going into a workplace: these are major changes after a year of restrictions.

As life has the potential to be bigger again: how are you feeling? There is excitement I’m sure – but also, perhaps, anxiety. It feels like a time of renewal and reflection - and of looking forward with hope after such a difficult year. Many of us may make a resolution to take new ways of being or practices into the “new normal”.

Human beings are nothing if not adaptable to new situations – and society is about to change once again as the end of lockdown comes into sight. Let’s bring some consciousness to that process for ourselves through the power of writing and language.

This workshop will enable you to think and feel about the past year, bringing into focus your experiences and the inner changes that may have happened. From here, you will look to the future in order to take forward the growth and lessons learned from lockdown. Through meditative and breathing practices, practical writing exercises, and a chance to share your journey with others, this will be an empowering and uplifting opportunity to reflect and move forwards.

We will not be recording this event, as we want to create a relaxed space for sharing between attendees where people feel more comfortable about keeping their webcams on.

If you would like to attend this event but are unable to afford the ticket price, please do get in touch with us directly at mags@psychedelicsociety.org.uk. At the Psychedelic Society, we believe that everyone should be able to access our events regardless of employment or health circumstances, so we will do our best to accommodate where we can.
