Dr Rosalind Watts: ACER Integration Launch Event (London & Livestream)

Accept, Connect, Embody, Restore.

Created by Dr Rosalind Watts, ACER Integration is a unique integration cycle that takes inspiration from nature to promote, cultivate, and sustain connectedness to the self, others, and the natural world around us. 

Join us on Friday 6th May 2022 at the stunning EartH Theatre in Hackney, as we celebrate the launch of Dr Watts’ new offering with some of the most brilliant minds and talents in the psychedelic space, including Bruce Parry, Michelle Baker-Jones, Leonie Schneider (PsyPAN), Jon Hopkins, and more. 

Dr Rosalind Watts and her team will introduce us to ACER Integration followed by a panel Q&A including our special guest, Jon Hopkins. 

Hosted by a globally influential surprise guest, the evening includes:

• A full-body, experiential, guided tree meditation led by Dr Rosalind Watts and inspired by nature, with music composed by Jon Hopkins
• Bruce Parry, documentarian, author and indigenous rights advocate, will discuss his latest documentary Tawai, a voice from the forest, and explore new ideas for ways of living respectfully, regeneratively and wildly with each other and the surrounding local environment
• A Deep Listening session to the music of Jon Hopkins, an ACER collaborator
• An Immersive Live Music performance by Holly Cullen-Davies (audience participation encouraged!)
• Audience Q&A and plenty of breaks for networking, connecting and dancing

This event will be an immersive experience, bringing together thought-leaders, clinicians and musicians for an evening of conversation and connection. A unique opportunity to network with the psychedelic community and learn more about ACER Integration from Dr Watts and her team.

Just like the ACER Integration cycle itself, the launch event is also rooted in music. If you’re coming to Hackney for the live event, please join us at 17:30- 18:45  for an opening set from the incredible Mojo Filter, and 23:00 - 01:00 for the closing set from the sublime DJ Interbeing. It’s time to dust off the dancing shoes and shake off the winter. There will also be quieter spaces for connecting with new friends and old.

VENUE

EartH Theatre in Hackney is a beautiful, rustic space. Built originally as a cinema in the 1930s, the theatre retains its jaw-dropping original Art Deco features and includes a separate, neon-lit bar area for drinks and socialising before and after the event.

GUESTS

Bruce Parry 

Bruce Parry is a documentary filmmaker,  indigenous rights advocate, author, explorer, and former Royal Marines commando officer. He is best known for his time spent living with Indigenous Peoples, and for bringing awareness of the shamanic use of psychedelic plant medicine to the mainstream, as well as his investigations into globalisation and climate change. Bruce's latest film; “TAWAI – A Voice from the Forest, is about how humankind has shifted its connection to nature with devastating results and suggests how we might return to the egalitarian structures we lived in for 95% of our time on the planet before the agricultural revolution.

Dr Rosalind Watts

As former Clinical Lead of the Psilocybin for Depression trial at Imperial College London, Dr Rosalind Watts led a clinical team which facilitated over a hundred psilocybin treatment sessions. She developed the ACE model for psychedelic-assisted therapy ‘Accept, Connect, Embody’, which has been used in clinical trials of psilocybin and dmt and is now launching a global online integration community, ‘Accept, Connect, Embody, Restore’ (ACER) where members will follow a 12 month process together. She has developed a psychometric tool for measuring outcomes of psychedelic therapy (the Watts Connectedness Scale) is clinical track lead on the Synthesis Institute’s Psychedelic Practitioner Training, and sits on the clinical advisory board of the Usona Institute, a not-for-profit psilocybin manufacturer and research organisation.

Michelle Baker-Jones

Michelle is an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor in private practice, based in London. She has been a member of Imperial College's psychedelic research team since 2015. Michelle was a lead guide on the Imperial College’s most recent RCT trial which is comparing psilocybin to antidepressants as a form of treatment for depression (Psilodep2). Currently she is working on a DMT trial as the lead therapist looking at the efficacy of DMT to treat depression, a collaborative trial between Small Pharma and Imperial College. Michelle offers individual psychedelic integration for people who are struggling to process psychedelic experiences and cofacilitates two monthly Psychedelic Integration groups.

Leonie Schneider (PsyPAN)

PsyPAN founder Leonie Schneider was a participant in the second Psilocybin for Depression clinical trial (PsiloDep 2) at Imperial College. It provided a turning point in how Leonie relates to her depression and provided a new path to deep personal healing and focused professional action. Leonie has since redirected her efforts to expanding access to psychedelic assisted therapies by actively advocating for the safe and intentional use of psychedelics.

Philip Carr-Gomm

Philip Carr-Gomm is an author in the fields of psychology and Druidry, a psychologist, and one of the leaders and former Chosen Chief of The Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids. From the age of fifteen he studied with his teacher, an old Druid Chief, Ross Nichols. He has a degree in psychology from University College London, and trained in psychotherapy for adults at The Institute of Psychosynthesis, and in play therapy for children with Dr Rachel Pinney. In 1988 he was asked to lead The Order of Bards Ovates and Druids, one of the largest international Druid groups, and he combines this role with a private practice in psychotherapy, writing, and giving workshops worldwide.

Lee Mendeloff

Lee Mendeloff is a therapist (psychodynamic counselling, yoga therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy), yoga teacher, and breathwork guide. For the past decade she’s been working in the mental health field across four countries. Lee’s offerings focus on harnessing the power of the breath to promote overall well-being. Using the breath, she invites individuals and collectives to engage in deep inner work to promote continuous growth, expansion, and self-exploration within a safe container.

Jon Hopkins

Jon Hopkins is a classically trained composer and electronic musician whose solo and collaborative works, including deeply cerebral ambient techno recordings and immersive film scores, have received widespread acclaim as well as Grammy and Mercury Prize nominations. In 2018, he set off on a mission to conceptualise a new genre of music specifically engineered to enhance guided trips. The field recordings from an expedition to Ecuador form the basis of Music for Psychedelic Therapy, his immersive soundtrack to consciousness exploration. 

Holly Cullen Davies

Holly Cullen-Davies is a pianist, singer, curator, music leader and mother. She studied at the The CNR de Lyon France, The Royal Northern College of Music and The Guildhall School Music and Drama. She sings in the vocal trio Davies & Daughters with her mum and sister. She has become well-known in london by the thousands of parents she has taught to sing in harmony with their babies through Helen Yeomans' wonderful intiative Thula Mama. In 2017 she set up The Kids' Concert Company which is funded by the Arts Council and Haringey Music Service to perform regularly to children in schools. She is a committed climate activist and teaches protest songs weekly online to people across the globe with her partner Marcus. She has two children and loves gardening and dancing in her spare time.

Eileen Hall

Eileen is an Ecuadorean/Scottish creative director, artist, researcher & explorer based in London.

She is the Founder of Tayos, an organisation supporting the protection of endangered habitats in Ecuador as well as exploring our relationship to nature and its role in our wellbeing through art, music & science. Tayos was inspired and ignited by the work of her late father Stan Hall who sought to uncover the lost history of the Americas and the Tayos treasure legend.In her paintings she enjoys exploring the numinous, luminous, liminal and elemental qualities of consciousness & our inner landscapes. Inspired by the wild landscapes of her home country of Ecuador, alongside her love of music and psychedelics, she creates dreamscapes and dreamseeds that combine these threads of her imagination.

Her works are featured in the new Jon Hopkins album released November 2021 “Music for Psychedelic Therapy”. Prints will be available for purchase at the event.

DJ Interbeing

Dj Interbeing is fascinated by the life worlds of other species.  The practice of Interbeing requires moving away from music appreciation as an exclusively human activity. As a result Dj Interbeing creates music for other species, liminal spaces, architectural structures and landscapes (as well as humans). From sound experiments in sacred spaces (most recently in the great pyramid of Egypt) to sound conversations (dialogos) at the key chakra points of the Earth.

DJ Mojo Filter

From the Himalayan range to the masonic (ahem) temples of London, world-wide tour schedules to sober raves, regal weddings to illustrious openings of The Royal Academy - year on year, the exploits of Ben Zaven Crane - aka Mojo Filter - are, frankly pretty far out. His eclectic music collection has seen him as the first DJ ever to play at Buckingham Palace. This set the precedent for a new breed of DJ amongst the upper echelons of the events industry. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. With a refined musical prowess and an uncanny ability to merge occasion, placement and people, Crane exudes an almost supernatural understanding of what it is to create magical atmospheres with music and the underground music scene is where his dark art really thrives.
